Westridge trainer, Christine Rishell, stayed on for the final week at the Hipico Summer Series as she was elected to team California in the “Battle of the States” on Shelby Beard’s gelding, Steel the Love. “Steel” also moved up to his first 1.30 class earning a first place prize, as well as placing 7th in the $5000 1.20 AOHCJI, and tying with Colorado in the Battle of the States Challenge. In addition, Mia Kertson was awarded Reserve Circuit Champion in the Children’s Hunter’s on Blair Englander’s Bart Xequoia! We are already looking forward to next year to say the least!
